TESOL
(Teaching English to Speakers of other Lanuages)

The day before the start of TESOL class there is a sense of excitement in the air. The hallways await the shuffle of feet from one session to the other. This is my first semester. The program TESOL of  BRAC Institute of Language (BIL) is full of resources and practical work which gives a student strong personality. Teaching English to Speakers of Other Language (TESOL) develops practical teaching skills. Qualification in M.A in TESOL through this very practice-oriented program will make students eminently suited for all levels of teaching.

Classroom

Our director Lady Syeda Sarwat Abed is an educationalist. She works for children who are academically sound but do not have the means to continue their studies. Our Program Coordinator Dr. Sayeedur Rahman is an Associate Professor and former Head of Department of IML (DU). I am grateful to have such wonderful teachers like Dr. Sayeedur Rahman, Assistant Professor Zohur Ahmed and of course my former teacher Ahmed Shamim. The classroom environment is very nice and favorable for the learners. Our thanks go to TESOL BRAC Institute of Language (BIL) for its continuing support.
Being a part of TESOL has given me even more enthusiasm and passion for my teaching career. It has challenged me to question my performance as an educator, reevaluate my commitment to my students, and reestablish my professional goals. As a final remark, I would like to extend my deepest appreciation to all.
